Is Bangladesh becoming a Taliban state? The question has become urgent in light of the growing strength of militant groups supposedly aligned with Al Quaida; the landslide victory of the center-right coalition in the general election of October 2001; and the deliberate and planned violence against religious minorities that followed. God Willing explores the explosive issue of Talibanization by analyzing the politics of Islamism in the world's third most populous Muslim country. Ali Riaz helps the reader to understand the emergence of Islamism as a legitimate democratic political in a largely secular state; as opposed to the media's sensational portrayal of Bangladesh as a country overrun by Islamist forces with a supranational agenda. The author compares Bangladesh with Indonesia and Pakistan; thus adding a valuable global context for evaluating the politics of Muslim countries.

The title says "FLASHCARDS." The description says "flashcards" and "cards" repeatedly. The word "card" implies a certain type and weight of paper; like tag board or card stock. However; this book is just a book of questions bound together. Regular paper; glue-bound into a book. Not a "card" in sight. Each page has 3 questions in blocks with lines below each block to write your own answer. Turn the page over; and the correct answer is given on what would be the back of the question. There is no way to sort the "cards;" no way to remove the ones you already know to concentrate on the ones you do not. Your money would probably be better spent on purchasing actual cards and/or a digital flashcard set. I am very disappointed in this product and will return it.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. CD rom is worth itBy Liz GeorgeThe CD rom was really helpful. I didn't care too much for the matieral; but it saves time/paper if you don't want to make your own flashcards. I missed History 2 by one point but passed History 1. Not bad considering I really only studied on the bus home from work for about 20-30min/day. Anyway; it's one of the cheaper; yet effective products out there.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
