This book provides an excellent overview of what black power means and how the concept originated. Although the book seems a bit dated today; many of the ideas presented are still entirely relevant.Ive only given the book four stars due to its age. Many of the statistics presented are dated; and undoubtedly there are other texts available today that present these ideas in a much better/newer way. But if you are interested in Stokely Carmichael and what he stood for; this is the book to read.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A detailed view of Black Power; it's objectives; how these would be achieved; as well as it's misinterpretations. An afterword from each author appended in 1992 provides insight; reflection; and perspective on all that's changed; and what hasn't; since the book's publishing.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
