I expected a more analytical look at the evolution of communication and the tools by which we communicate. Perhaps fitting for someone who is just beginning to think of these things; but I've been paying attention to; reading about; talking about and studying these concerns for about 20 years; so it was a disappointment.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good bookBy Charity RoseIt is an interesting book as it tells the history behind modern technology. The book is nicely organized; but can get a little lengthy at times.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Interesting textbookBy JackThis book was required for my history of media and technology class. I wasn't sure about it; but once I started reading it I realized this is different from other textbooks. It's very interesting; and hard to put down.
