The author has done a brilliant job and gathered huge information about this famous face. Though I had various book about him before this book but somehow I found this book really better than all those books; and it enlarged my knowledge as well. If you are searing for a perfect biographical book about Hamilton then guys; trust me you are on the right place and don’t miss your chance to read this book. Patriot or monarchist?By geoperkyI enjoyed the subject matter of this book and the author's thoroughness in parts of Hamilton's history admirable. However; I was disappointed with the treatment of Hamilton's involvement with the Federalist Papers; as well as his relationship with Madison; Jay and Jefferson that seemed to be lacking. The accounts of his relationship with Washington were also somewhat confusing...was he a trusted advisor or just an egotistical jerk who insisted that his opinions were well-reasoned; and therefore; the only ones that mattered.I recommend this book; but beware...it's not Broadway worthy.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I was proud to give this as a giftBy CustomerBought this as a gift for a history buff in the family and he loved it. He told me it was one of the best biographies he has read and that he learned a lot about Alexander Hamilton. Now I'm considering getting another copy for myself based on some of the things he has told me about Hamilton. I can't believe how much he accomplished in his life. Politicians nowadays really just don't compare at all to a patriotic leader like Hamilton.
