William H. Williams fills a gap in the literature on slavery in America. This book is the first comprehensive analysis of the 'peculiar institution' in the First State. An excellent text for courses in colonial and antebellum history; Slavery and Freedom in Delaware provides valuable insight into this unfortunate; unforgettable period in the nation's history.

Good read on the political and military strategy of Israel in recent operationsBy Jonathan MattsonI have an interest in wordl war two history and about Israel's wars since then. Not sure why; but that is what it is. I got the book because I was looking for a nice read on the IAF in the recent struggles they are facing. This is not a history story about the IAF in the struggles; this is a big picture of the political and military strategy used in the conflict. As long as you accept that you should enjoy this book. The author does a good job of explaining what Isreal did correct and what they didn't do correct in their application of air power. I really enjoyed how contrasted the Lebanon experence with the Gaza experience. Set your objectives accordingly; achieve them; declare victory; and move on with your life. Wish some other countries and their political leaders woudl learn that lesson0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Three StarsBy KWKYNClumsy and repetitive. KunzlerI found this book to be a hard read for the avgeek/war buff/airplane fan but I have to assure you if you want an accurate; thoughtful assessment of recent Israeli Defense Force ops - here you go. A very thick narrative with few but helpful graphics photos; you'll learn how the Israeli Air Force can take the fight to modern terrorists without carpet bombing and help the guys on the ground. Could be very helpful for US Military as well to read.
