You are able to feel the writer's love of the story in every word; page; chapter of the book. It is a beautiful story that; to a person like me with no knowledge of the history behind the Ramayan; has given me a great understanding of what it resembles and all the lessons to be learned from it. I fell in love with the book; its characters; its morals and lessons and cannot wait to share it with my children when they are older. The lessons being taught thousands of years ago when the original text was written; are still very much in line with what should also be today's lessons. Especially in the world we are living today where the difference between good and bad; what should be done and what is done is almost invisible. Very well written and very easy to read compared to other versions.The illustrations really make a difference and bring the story to life. Highly recommended.
