Review
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Lots of good information; a little awkward to readBy Zachary FordThis thick history of the 99th has a great deal of information; although a lot of it is in lengthy transcripts of primary sources rather than a more traditional narrative. The benefit is that a lot of detail is presented; at the sake of narrative flow and some readability. I'd rather have an author err on the side of too much detail than too little; but my personal feeling would be that some of the lengthier primary sources could be trimmed without losing any essential detail. Still; histories of Western Theater regiments are always welcome and there's good stuff here.
