I would recommend this to people who are keenly interested specifically in ...By Paul GardnerAlthough this text covers a lot of time (generally the Renaissance through twentieth century Europe) this professor has a focus on the nineteenth century. Comparatively; he spends the most amount of time discussing this time period. I would recommend this to people who are keenly interested specifically in Europe during the 19th century. It describes the changes that an emerging middle class (from the Industrial Revolution) in Europe caused with respect to the Old Regime. If you want more information on the 20th century read "Europe in the Twentieth Century" by Paxton.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.
