Error in 's bio - book is good.By MESThis is not a review; but I cannot find a way to let know that their bio for Dr. Spielvogel has a mistake. I am quite sure that he did NOT receive his PhD in 2005. While I cannot locate the date of his degree; the "About the Authors" page states that his doctoral work was "under Harold J. Grimm." Since Dr. Grimm died in 1983; I rather suspect that Spielvogel's PhD was awarded prior to that date.Bio reads: "Jackson J. Spielvogel is associate professor emeritus of history at The Pennsylvania State University. He received his Ph.D. in 2005."By the way; I have selected the 8th edition of World History by Duiker and Spielvogel for my World History course and find it superior to the 3 other texts that were under consideration.
